The Roadside Siblings
In early April 2023, our team was made aware of two young dogs who were living just behind a busy road. They had endured daily beatings from residents in the area, and had experienced the unimaginable horror of having hot car oil poured over them. Not only were their young bodies scolded, battered and bruised at the hands of humans, but they were also starving and suffering from an extreme case of mange.
All updates on these pups will be posted on this page as and when they occur
These two young dogs were not only in immense pain from their health conditions and physical abuse from humans, but were understandably terrified of anyone who approached them. Our team had to visit the pups several times to feed them and gain their trust before we were able to collect and transport them to our vet in order to receive life-saving medical care.
Once the two dogs had been transported to our vet, they both tested positive for the deadly blood parasites, anaplasmosis, as well as being dangerously malnourished. Their young bodies are broken, and they’ve lost all faith and hope in humans.
Our next steps are to continue with all necessary vet care (including neutering, de-worming and de-fleaing) and getting them to the state of health that all dogs deserve.
Once they are of good enough health, we need to place them in a safe, clean boarding facility whilst we commence the long and costly process of obtaining health certificates and legal paperwork in order for them to board their freedom flights to their forever homes.
With over 54 dogs currently requiring our care and funds at an all-time low, we simply can’t afford to give these dogs the outcome they so deserve without your support. We need to raise a total of £1,600 per dog to cover the costs of everything we’ve outlined above. Please help us help them by donating online here or directly via PayPal here.
